Our network of 21 websites begins its 6th year today. We started this little gig in August 2004... slowly adding new sites through the years. We couldn't have done it alone. Thanks to all our hard-working writers, and you the readers for making The Fun Times Guide what it is today. It's been 5 fun years. Here's to another 5!...

We saw Darius Rucker for the first time in concert last night. He was having a free show at the Grand Ole Opry -- it was part of some promotion with the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. The Darius Rucker concert footage from this particular night airs this Thursday, August 27th on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Here are photos.

The Boiler Room Theatre is located at the Franklin Factory -- inside the building which housed the boiler of the old stove manufacturing factory. The theater itself is small, with only 120 seats It's a good time, and also a sure way to get my husband out on a date night 7 times a year!

No matter how many other Mexican burrito restaurants we try, my husband always goes back to the Baja Fresh Mexican Grill every time! It's his absolute favorite. Here's why...

At first I wasn't sure about the idea of dueling pianos. It sounded boring. Boy, was I wrong! We had the best time. And I was dancing in my chair the whole time -- considering the dance floor is very small.

If you are looking for something to help entertain your active child on a rainy day, look no further. The Rainbow Play Systems Party Room is a nice replacement for playing in the soggy backyard.

Glow Galaxy is a glow-in-the-dark play place for kids in Cool Springs. We've been there twice now for birthday parties, and they sure are fun!

I had never been to Mickey Roos before, but I love barbeque so I was hoping for good things. I wasn't disappointed. Here's a review of the food, the prices, and how to save a few bucks the next time you go to Mickey Roo's!

We've seen Chuck Cannon and Lari White several times before -- usually at The Bluebird Cafe. Last night, we were pleasantly surprised to see phenomenal guitarist Tom Bukovac on stage with Chuck. It was a great show with both Chuck and Lari's bands on stage at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville.

Eric Hutchinson played at 3rd & Lindsley, a place that seats less than 300 -- which, if you ask me, is the best way to see musicians: up close & personal! Here are my photos and thoughts about Eric Hutchinson's show in Nashville, Tennessee.

March 2 through April 11, 2009, head to Carmike Cinemas Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, TN for the Independent Film Festival. One film will be featured each of the 6 weeks of the film festival and all movies are only $5. Funky AND a bargain!

From chocolate fixes to kids' holiday gifts, corporate gifts and wedding favors, the Hillsboro Chocolate Company has something for every occasion. The Pralines are my favorite.

Barbara's Homecookin' is located just off Hillsboro Road on Old Hillsboro Road in the Grassland area of Franklin. It's so good it almost tastes like your Mama made it but I assure you it has been made by the owner, Barbara Thomas, a Southern Mississippi transplant, who cooks up some of the best comfort food around.
