It is rare to find Mexican food that I do not like, but I think there is a big difference between good Mexican food and great Mexican food. The main difference for me is the amount of flavors and the way the spices are used -- that the flavors don't all end up tasting the same. I recently went to Pueblo Real in Franklin. Here's my review.

We went to the Franklin Mercantile Deli -- also called the Merc -- for the first time. The owners, Graeme and Corrie Asch, take as much pride in making you feel welcome there as they do in cooking up great food with fresh ingredients at great prices. Here's my detailed review of the Franklin Mercantile Deli.

And we had great seats.

I was excited to see how the Avalon neighborhood would turn out, because I've always had a fantasy of living in a castle, or at least a castle-like setting. One of the first signs of the development was the 'castle' on top of one of the hills which you can see from Cool Springs.

Tucked behind the Williamson County Agricultural Expo Center off of Peytonsville Road and surrounded by farm land and hillside, The Highlands at Ladd Park is a new Franklin neighborhood that has the makings of a wonderful combination of spacious homes, beautiful views and opportunities to enjoy nature at its best. If I were to rate the Wild Ginger restaurant in Cool Springs near Franklin, TN... on a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a 4.5. The atmosphere inside is both romantic -- for a special date; yet sophisticated -- for a business dinner. The food was to DIE for. I'll definitely be back!
