big-bang-bumper-stickers.jpg My first visit to The Big Bang in Nashville was for my friends 30th birthday – Bang! (pun intended)

At first, I wasn’t sure about the idea of "dueling pianos."

It sounded boring. Boy, was I wrong!

We had the best time. And I was dancing in my chair the whole time (considering the dance floor is very small).

What It’s Like

The performers at The Big Bang are incredible!

They have so much charisma and really helped to make it a fun night for everyone who was there.

Basically, there are 2 people performing at the piano all night long. They play a variety of songs,   mostly request (paid request). The bigger the tip, the quicker your song is played.

The pianists change throughout the night, so the versatility of songs would appeal to anyone. They also have drums and guitar playing during some songs.

And if they don’t know the song that’s been requested, the bartender (or even the cook!) may fill in to sing the song. Again, lots of talent.

Participate And Have Fun!

fun-and-games-at-the-big-bang-nashville.jpg About once an hour, you are encouraged to participate with them and the servers in a "Dance Along." The song could be anything from the Stayin Alive, Hokey Pokey or Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes. (Of course, they change some of the lyrics!)

The Big Bag is a great place for celebrating a special event. Just be prepared… if it’s your special event, you’ll most likely be required to get on stage and you can bet they will make it a moment to remember!

Coming from a single gal who likes having fun but doesn’t want the "meat-market feeling" you get from some clubs, The Big Bang atmosphere was really fun, and our personal space was never intruded by drunks looking for new friends!

Food & Cover Charges

It’s a non-smoking environment at The Big Bang, which is awesome. And there’s NO cover charge if you get there before 8 p.m.

As far as food goes, they have the most delicious chicken sandwich — which is great if you delayed dinner to get there early! They have a simple menu to choose from and plenty to drink. Unfortunately, they didn’t have my fruity margarita, but the Bacardi Raz did the trick.

Both times we went, we reserved a table and it made it worth the early arrival. The staff is so easy to work with on making reservations.

Where To Park

Going with a group is always more fun, and saves on the parking bill too.

You can park anywhere off 4th Avenue that is close to Broadway.

Both times I parked close and paid $10, but it was worth it to us for a safe, close parking spot.

Other Fun Places Nearby

fun-times-at-the-big-bang-nashville.jpg There is plenty of other entertainment right out the door… if The Big Bang is not your kind of place.

Right across the street is Tootsie’s, The Stage and lots of other places where you can catch live music.

The Big Bag is also within walking distance to the Ryman, Sommet Center, and the Nashville Symphony.

So I would encourage you to go, have fun, get "banged!" And if you need someone to go with, just let me know.
