Nashville Skyline At Sundown

| Comments (1)

I snapped this picture on my way home from work today...

A picture of the Nashville skyline as the sun was setting over the city.

I wasn't sure what I'd get... the scene was so magnificent in person, yet all I had was my little pocket-sized digital-cam in the car.

Turns out, this photo captures the "mood" of the day perfectly:

Mid-winter... mostly cloudy today... bitter cold with crisp, choppy burst of wind... the only sunshine seen all day was this 10-minute peak from behind the clouds... just as the sun was setting over the Nashville skyline.

I'm glad I had my camera.

What a fantastic photo! You just never know when you'll see a great combo of lighting, subject matter and being at the right place at the right time to capture it. I could imagine that the Nashville Chamber of Commerce might want to get their hands on that one.
I'm nominating you for the poster child of GIHMCSA (Glad I Had My Camera Society of America).
