We skipped town for the weekend and headed to Gatlinburg over the 4th of July holiday. Not only did we get to see ‘the nation’s FIRST Fourth of July Parade’ — which took place at 12:01 a.m. on Monday July 4th — really midnight of July 3rd. But we also got to witness ‘the nation’s LAST Fourth of July Fireworks Display’ — which took place at 11:59 p.m. on Monday July 4th. Both were just okay.
