Shawn Mullins and Chuck Cannon often do shows together. I’ve seen them both — separately and together — several times. The fact that Tom Bukovac was also on stage this night at 3rd & Lindsley was a huge bonus for me. Not to mention the fact that I got to sit with Chuck’s wife (Lari White) and Tom’s wife (Sarah Buxton) and meet another Nashville singer-songwriter (Jeanne Richardson). Here are photos from this fun night!
I can count on one hand the number of "famous" singers that I'd like to see in person again, and Shawn Mullins is one of them! I own all of his albums -- before and after his 1998 breakout album, Soul's Core. We've seen him several times in small venues around Nashville -- and it's absolutely the best. See why we love Shawn Mullins… as a singer… as a songwriter… and as a multi-talented guitar player. Lots of little-known stuff about Shawn Mullins here!
Last night we got to see Shawn Mullins perform “in the round” at the Bluebird Cafe. What a treat! There’s nothing better than seeing your favorite performers in small settings like such small, intimate places. Along with Shawn Mullins were Chuck Cannon and Mac Davis. I know… what a group! And we had great seats.
I cannot believe how many times I’ve been watching a movie at the theater — or on DVD rental — and I’m always pleasantly surprised to hear that yet another Van Morrison song has made it into a popular movie. Here are all the Van Morrison songs that have appeared in movies.

Here’s a review of 9th Ward Pickin Parlor by Shawn Mullins. An incredible bluesy album with a lot of great mandolin and classic rock!

Shawn’s new record, 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor is an acoustic-based CD named for the New Orleans home studio where most of the album’s acoustic tracks were cut. Hear Shawn’s take on this new album, specifically how he chose its…
I long for the day that it becomes commonplace to see and hear the name of the songwriter — in addition to the singer — on all music radio and video channels!
Every July or August, Shawn Mullins returns to Nashville for his annual 3rd & Lindsley appearance.
