Nashville Is The New LA
Jim and I went to see Shawn Mullins at 3rd & Lindsley this past weekend.
While there, we saw a guy wearing a T-shirt that said, "Nashville is the new L.A."
I've seen (or heard) this phrase a few times before, but I had no idea it was such a big thing... especially around here. (I guess we don't get out much.)
Now you can get your own "Nashville is the new LA" T-shirt!...
Nashville has been mistakenly associated solely with country music. Nashville is the new L.A... There is an amazingly huge and diverse scene here, which includes virtually every musical genre imaginable, including a thriving underground scene, even a surprising amount of very serious jazz. They don't call it Music City for nothing."
-- David Grow, Howling Music

I had never heard this phrase before attending this years FanFair. (Nashville is the new L.A,) I've been to Nashville more times than I cant count, and hadnt seen these t-shirts before, but when I saw this stand set up on Broadway, I wasted no time buying one and it didnt matter how much they we're, I just knew that this was kind of a funny phrase for all the girls I go with every year and it just stuck... Thanks for the cool shirt, I wear it proudly... Seeya guys next year, love from an Ohioan....Heidi
