The Pepsi/iTunes special is officially over (…sniff, sniff).
So, unless you happen upon an “old” bottle of Pepsi product lying around on the store shelf, you won’t be finding anymore “lucky winners” these days.
That, my friends, means that our downloading streak on iTunes has come to an abrupt halt.
Or has it?
iTunes/Pepsi Free Music Downloads
It was quite an ingenious campaign… They get you hooked by giving you all these free song downloads — all with the intention of building a huge base of loyal customers.
From now on, anytime you’re itching to hear a new song, you’ll remember how easy that was to download songs from iTunes and you’ll automatically go there and PAY them for the privilege of downloading a song!
If I had my way, we in this household would not be so gullible. I doubt however that my “better half” believes the same as I do. He is much more compulsive when it comes to these kinds of things, and I’m betting we’ll become one of iTunes’ most loyal customers from this day forward. (…gulp!)
Not that I think iTunes is in any way bad or deceitful or worthless. Oh no, quite the contrary. I LOVE the iTunes product. And Jim likes it even more than I do! It’s just that I would rather not become a slave to it.
We shall see…
Summary Of Our iTunes Free Downloading Experience:
- Number of free winning song bottle caps obtained: 34
(2 we bought ourselves; 32 Jim got from friends at work)
- Total hours of downloaded music: 2.7
- Total space now allotted to music on Jim’s hard drive: 160.5 megs
(…of pure audio pleasure!) -
What is the total number of NON-winning bottle caps we accumulated during this whole period, you ask?
One.
(It was obtained before we learned about this “cheat”!)
