Yeehaw! The Franklin Rodeo Is Back

franklin-rodeo-picture.jpg I’m so excited about the Franklin Rodeo

Every year I miss going, but I’m determined to be there this go-around.  My 7-½ year old son (Will) is looking forward to it, and his good friend from preschool is coming along as well.  He is a cowboy fanatic and has been since I can remember.  Will, on the other hand, not so much the cowboy… more like a Star Wars trooper and athlete.

Anyway, festivities will begin this Friday, May 9th, with a party and auction at the Franklin Factory

Then a parade through downtown Franklin takes place on the 10th.  A few other events will happen in the days leading up to the big event.  And finally, the moment we’re all waiting for… the Franklin Rodeo is scheduled for 7pm on the 15th, 16th and 17th.

Get Your Cowboy Gear Here

I was driving around town last week and remember seeing what I thought was a cowboy clothing store somewhere in Franklin… which caught me by surprise for whatever reason.  It seemed to be in somewhat of an odd location.

Anyway, I Googled it to see if I was correct in my recollection and, voila!, I found it.  The Cowboy Store is indeed located right here in Frankln. It’s in the same shopping strip off Hwy 96/Murfreesboro Rd where you’ll also find Trees-n-Trends, Aldi and Goodys.

So, before hitting the rodeo, why don’t we all run right on over to The Cowboy Store and get suited up!  We can’t show up at a rodeo all gussied up like a bunch of city folk, now can we?  And while you’re at it, get your tickets for the Franklin Rodeo now so you can avoid lines the night of the rodeo.

Will and I look forward to seeing ya'll there, partner!
