As many of you know, we're in the process of building a log home here in Franklin, Tennessee.
I've been compiling my own list of building supply centers, salvage yards and specialty stores that we plan to visit during the building & design process.
I thought some of these links might be of interest to others building (or decorating) new homes here in Middle Tennessee.
I've been tagged by jvanover at Our Life Together.
I've never actually done one of these "tagging" meme things before. But I like this one. It's a good way to put a face with the person who writes a particular blog.
So for starters, that's me on the right (...the far right). On the left is my mom.
Okay, so it was 1995, and we were high on Florida sunshine and ocean air at the time. I can't think of a better explanation for why we might have felt compelled to actually let them "photograph" us like this. It was at Universal Studios in Orlando, and obviously all that is real are the faces.
Listen to Bud Light's Real Men of Genius "Mr. Centerfold Picture Retoucher":
Here's the real me in photographs...
Both of these dog parks are worth visiting, despite any of the "negative" things that I might allude to below.
My aim here is simply to give dog owners an honest review and some idea of what they can expect to find upon their first visit to either of these dog parks.
All in all, they're both great dog parks, and both are very popular with the locals.
Got an email the other day from a visitor to this site. It read:
Just wanted to invite you to the HOTTEST reality show in Nashville TN August 18 at 8:00pm. We will have 5 more artists competing for prizes and you can be the judge. That's right the audience chooses the winner. We will have some great entertainment and it is all FREE. Come cheer for you favorite performer."

...Sounds like fun!
If Tenor were to be the judge, the Franklin Dog Park would rank #1, followed by the Brentwood /slash/ Bellevue /slash/ Nashville /slash/ Warner Dog Park as #2.
Actually, the Warner Dog Park is part of the Percy Warner Parks system which lies between Bellevue and Brentwood (and just a hop, skip, and a jump from Franklin), but it's technically in Nashville.
The Franklin Dog Park has its own claim to fame: it is Tennessee's first off-leash dog park!
