We went on a VERY spontaneous road trip this weekend.
The states we visited in 2 days:
- South Carolina
- North Carolina
- Georgia
- East Tennessee
And these guys went with us: Pat Green (Lucky Ones CD), the Warren Brothers (Barely Famous Hits) and Johnny Reid (Born to Roll).
What were we up to, you ask?
Well, we…
…
-
- witnessed some
world-class whitewater rafting and kayaking
-
- on the Ocoee River and went shopping at “
-
- ” (East Tennessee) —
-
- .
… got some *cheap* gas (Georgia) — still topless.
… watched some fast cars and saw how they put together and take apart a Top Fuel Dragster in IHRA drag racing events (South Carolina) — enjoyed being topless.
… went on a tour of Subway restaurants, then about got car sick from many miles of twisty, winding, mountainous driving (North Carolina) — topless, until it started pouring rain!
Despite the fact that I literally burned my scalp (… and I’m not the BALD one of the duo!), we had a great time putting 700 more miles on our Jeep during what turned out to be one of the most beautiful weekends of the summer!
Details to follow…
We moved from Florida to Tennessee in 2001. All signs point to the fact that we will probably retire here — by choice. We L O V E Nashville! Our favorite places to live are just south of the City — we’ve had houses in Brentwood, Franklin, and Spring Hill. And we have properties in Leipers Fork, Cookeville, and Lewisburg. This site is where I share my best tips for moving your family to Nashville and/or visiting Nashville for the first time — with the ultimate goal of helping you find fun things to do in Williamson County and Davidson County. When I’m not out & about enjoying the Nashville area, you’ll find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites).
