We moved from Florida to Tennessee in 2001. All signs point to the fact that we will probably retire here -- by choice. We L O V E Nashville! Our favorite places to live are just south of the City -- we've had houses in Brentwood, Franklin, and Spring Hill. And we have properties in Leipers Fork, Cookeville, and Lewisburg. This site is where I share my best tips for moving your family to Nashville and/or visiting Nashville for the first time -- with the ultimate goal of helping you find fun things to do in Williamson County and Davidson County. I've lived in and around Brentwood, Tennessee for most of my life. I grew up in Franklin, moved away for a short time, and returned to Brentwood with a husband and preschooler in tow. I love gardening, walking, inline skating, scrapbooking, and spending time with my family.

By day, I'm a full time residential real estate consultant in Franklin, Tennessee. When I'm not working, I enjoy exploring Franklin with my son, doing yardwork and home improvement projects.

I’m a first-time mom. I work from home and write — mostly about my outdoor adventures, DIY projects, newly discovered products, and helpful tips as a first-time mom. I also like to share details about the alternative choices I’m exploring, as I enjoy this journey called motherhood. My family includes a toddler, 2 stepchildren, 1 dog, 1 cat, and a wonderful husband. I'm a native Nashvillian, and I’ve lived in Franklin for over 10 years. I have lived many other places and find that Franklin is the place that I truly love. It's like living in Mayberry! I’m excited to have this new opportunity to share my experiences in this town with you.

I'm a record collector and occasional critic. I seriously can't remember a time when I didn't love jazz. For the most part. I blame that on my Dad's CD collection. From those early days, I've built quite a collection of my own -- ranging from the sweetest melodies to the craziest skronky freakouts. I love it all!
