Boscos In Cool Springs – Great Food & Good Beer!

Restaurant Reviews

boscos-cool-springs-franklin-tn.jpg I’ve been to Boscos in Cool Springs several times now.

The reason that I originally went is because I like the Boscos located in Nashville and I was glad that they opened a location in Franklin.

I like the Cool Springs location better. They have the same beer (trucked in from the Nashville location) and mostly the same menu, but the atmosphere is a little different. It is a very comfortable atmosphere with great unpretentious service.

The Nashville location has more of a brewery feel with a younger college crowd since it’s located in Hillsboro Village close to the Vanderbilt campus.

First Impressions

At the Cool Springs Boscos, I would feel just as comfortable having dinner with my 2-year-old son as I would on a business dinner.

I would describe it as an almost upscale restaurant with fresh brewed beer.

The decor has warm brown tones with dark wood, copper, and textured glass. The atmosphere is fun. Everyone there seems to be having a relaxed good time.

There is a large bar area if you just want to stop in for a drink, and there is also outdoor patio seating available for the warmer months.

How’s The Food?

The food is really what brings me back as much as the beer. They are known for their entrees made in the brick oven — like the gourmet pizzas, steaks, and salmon baked on cedar plank.

Although I have not yet tried any of the pizzas, my husband loves them. I usually go for the blackened grouper sandwich. It really hits the spot with a cold beer.

The fries are good too. You get a choice of regular, sweet potato, or garlic Parmesan fries. I have tried them all and they are all good. If you go for the garlic Parmesan, be warned that you will taste those fries long after leaving the restaurant!

What About The Beer?

The beer tastes great too.

There is something to be said for fresh brewed beer on tap.

Besides their staples like the Flaming Stone Beer, Bombay IPA, or the Boscos Brown, they have seasonal beer as well.

Since the prices are reasonable, it’s easy to go back often (which I do). The last time I was there, we spent $55 including tip for 2 entrees and 5 beers.
