A friend of mine recently told me that you can’t find Mr. Pibb around here in Tennessee. In fact, she’s so happy whenever her business trips take her through Cannon County, Tennessee, because that’s one of the few places that Mr. Pibb is available.
Is this true???
This friend of mine is from the Murfreesboro area, so perhaps she meant to say that Mr. Pibb is hard to find in Middle Tennessee… I dunno.
I actually prefer Dr. Pepper, or rather, Diet Dr. Pepper. And I’m thrilled that I can actually find it in many soda machines around here (Williamson County, Tennessee). Plus, it’s served at a fair number of restaurants.
But still, she got me wondering. Is Mr. Pibb really under wraps around here & so hard to find?
Sound off… if you like Mr. Pibb and you live in Tennessee… can you find it in your area?
More about Dr. Pepper vs Mr. Pibb here.
UPDATE:
It appears that Mr. Pibb is available at the Ruby Tuesday’s in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
And at the Philly Connection in Knoxville. (Philly Connection has the best philly cheesesteak sandwiches here in Franklin! …actually Cool Springs.)
They also serve Mr. Pibb at the Chop House in Sevierville, and at the Applebees in Gatlinburg.
I’m seeing a pattern here… East Tennessee!
