I'll be watching Nashville Star 6 this season. But, oddly enough, I think I'm more interested in seeing the judges than some of the performers themselves!
I'm diggin' the fact that Jeffrey Steele is a judge. Finally... more Jeffrey Steele in the limelight!
You see, Jim and I have been following Jeff Steele for what seems like ages now, and we still can't get enough. He's a shining star in the Country Music industry. He's right up there with Craig Wiseman in our book -- as far as songwriters go anyways.
Okay, I'll just say it... If I had my way, I'd see to it that The Hitmen of Music Row produce, judge, promote, star in, and otherwise have their hands in just about anything that's Country Music related these days! All of these guys are among the top hit-makers in the biz. And they know how it works from the entry-level songwriting trials & tribulations to the mega-hits that can result. Best of all... they keep things FUN!
Now onto the other judges...
Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) has created yet another Reality TV show. It's called Jingles and they're holding auditions in Nashville at the end of May.
Mark Burnett has reportedly combined elements of The Apprentice and Rock Star to create Jingles, a new CBS reality series that will see contestants concocting commercial ditties for real products ... Home viewer votes cast following each broadcast will then determine a weekly winner, whose jingle will be used in and actual commercial. Source
If you would like to audtion for the show, read on...
You may have heard that Nashville Star is moving from USA Network to NBC for 2008. Yep, primetime on cable, baby!
This year, the competition is open to singing duos and trios. Auditions are open to anyone 16 and older. Nashville Star casting calls are held rain or shine.

Here's the scoop on the upcoming casting call in Nashville, TN...
Many have posted comments here or emailed me privately regarding an update on Travis Stork -- Nashville's hottest bachelor.
Well... the Bachelor (a.k.a. Dr. Travis Stork) is apparently still single. He and Sarah Stone called off their relationship soon after the show aired.
Straight from his MySpace page:
I broke up with Sarah. We had too much in common."
Here's another update on Travis and Sarah.
But wait, there's more!...
Got an email the other day from a visitor to this site. It read:
Just wanted to invite you to the HOTTEST reality show in Nashville TN August 18 at 8:00pm. We will have 5 more artists competing for prizes and you can be the judge. That's right the audience chooses the winner. We will have some great entertainment and it is all FREE. Come cheer for you favorite performer."

...Sounds like fun!
There are a lot of unique events taking place in Nashville over the next couple weeks! Here are a few of my favorites:

- Flugtag at Riverfront Park June 23rd
- Taste of Music City at the Gateway Bridge June 23rd
- Goodguys Rod & Custom Nashville Nationals at LP Field June 29th - 30th
- Reality TV Convention at the Radisson Hotel at Opryland June 30th & July 1st
Following are details about the Reality TV Convention on June 30th...
Nashville is a hot spot for Reality TV contestants.
Now's your chance to get on the TV show Deal or No Deal.
Details below...

Yep, there's another Tennessee tie to a popular Reality TV show.
You may recall that Nashville's own Sarah Stone won the heart of Travis Stork on "The Bachelor" last year.
On the first airing of "The Bachelor" (Season 10) tonight, Peyton Wright was one of the first to receive a rose from Andy Baldwin. While she currently resides in Dallas, Peyton hails from the great state of Tennessee!
And there's an even more interesting tie, making Andy and Peyton "the perfect couple"...
Well, well, well... not only are there a bunch of current Reality TV Show contestants who are from Tennessee (many from the Nashville area), but it also appears that one of the most popular websites covering all there is to know about Reality TV shows is based right here out of Brentwood, Tennessee!
(Or, I should say... the site's creator, Joe Blackmon, hails from Brentwood.)

Who knew???
For some reason Tennessee, especially Nashville, has produced a representative sampling of Reality TV show contestants of late.
We attended the opening night of Nashville Star 4 tonight. (If you're not familiar with it, Nashville Star is part talent contest, part popularity contest, and part Reality TV show.)
We went mostly for the novelty of it... (and for the ability to see Big & Rich, Two-Foot-Fred, Wynonna, Cowboy Troy, and each of the talented contestants perform -- for FREE!)
We also happened to attend a "live" taping of Nashville Star two years ago -- the year that Brad Cotter won.
Here's a comparison of Season 2 with Season 4, as well as highlights from both shows -- as we saw it...
Okay, this usually isn't my style... but I feel compelled to share a bit of "scoop" I heard yesterday on the radio.
I honestly don't know the radio station I heard it on. I only know that it was around 5pm, and I was channel surfing in the car on my way home from work. The only thing I know for sure: It was a Nashville radio station.
The first thing you need to know: Sarah S. (a.k.a. Sarah Stone, one of the "bachelorettes" who made the cut on the first night of the new season of The Bachelor) is from Nashville, Tennessee.
(...no, that's not the scoop!)
In fact, you might have seen Sarah watching the show with friends at a trendy upscale bar in Nashville on the news immediately after Monday's airing of The Bachelor.

Here's the scoop:
It turns out that Sarah was spotted this week with the bachelor himself, (Travis Stork, an ER doctor at Vanderbilt) working out at the YMCA in Green Hills together.
You may recall, that we were eager to attend the Williamson County Fair.
In fact, it was the first to be held in this county in over 50 years.(...Perhaps now we know why!)
Following is a wrap-up of our much-anticipated trip to the Williamson County Fair.
For all the Leah Hulan (of Grumpy's Bail Bonds) fans out there...
And, I know there are many, because our stats show that the one article in which we featured Leah Hulan continues to get HUGE hits -- as does the one photo of Leah Hulan in our photogallery.
So, before she becomes TOO big of a superstar to photograph locally (via billboards, that is), I thought I'd post a couple more pictures in celebration of Leah Hulan's upcoming Reality TV show on CMT!
