Pictures From The Dierks Bentley Celebrity Motorcycle Ride Today

Today was the Dierks Bentley Miles and Music For Kids motorcycle ride.

natchez-trace-bridge-over-hwy-100.jpg

It started at the Harley Davidson in Cool Springs. (I was there.) It ventured down the beautiful winding road called Barry's Chapel. (I was there). Then onto Highway 46 after crossing Highway 96 and heading into Leiper's Fork. (I was there.) Then onto Pinewood and the Natchez Trace Parkway.

I missed that last intersection, because I took another route to the Natchez Trace Bridge over Highway 96 in Franklin where I and a handful of other photographers waited for the motorcycle riders to pass over the bridge near Birdsong Park.

What Others Think Of Nashville...

| Comments (1)

Prompted by the Nashville Scene's annual You Are So Nashville If... series, I set out to see how others (namely, tourists) view Nashville these days.

I'm always interested to hear what others have to say about Nashville when they come to visit.

I can't help but think there are a number of stereotypes out there which just don't do the city justice, and it's not until you've actually BEEN here that you realize, Nashville's a pretty cool place to be!

Perhaps the most common stereotype:

"Nashville is filled with rednecks who wear cowboy hats and cowboy boots and Wranglers everywhere they go. Oh, and they talk funny too!"

Plus, since Nashville's been dubbed Music City USA and has a long-standing reputation as the Country Music Capitol of the World, many people think everything is pure Country 24/7 around here and that honky tonks are the only places to have a good time.

That couldn't be farther from the truth.

Fortunately, some have taken the time to write about their experiences and set the record straight with regard to all there is to see and do in Nashville Tennessee.

Puckett's Grocery - the storefront of the Leiper's Fork, Tennessee location. Puckett's Grocery is a little country store that's located in the trendy suburb of Franklin, Tennessee called Leiper's Fork (20 miles southwest of Nashville). They sell a lot more than just groceries... try lobster, deli sandwiches, and music -- lots and lots of live music!
