A Dog's-Eye View Of Franklin, Tennessee

ronnie-the-collie-in-franklin-tennessee.jpg Got an email the other day from "Ronnie the Collie". Yep, a dog.

I guess there's a first time for everything...

Ronnie wanted to share his vacation photos, which include a couple taken right here in Franklin, Tennessee (and Florida).

Woof!

Funny Cowboy Stuff

An unidentified couple -- NOT Jim & Lynnette -- walking in downtown Nashville. I've been adding bits & pieces to my growing collection of "crazy cowboy things" for quite awhile now...

Yesterday, a visitor to this site sent me Bud Light's Real Men of Genius ad for "Mr. Exotic Cowboy Boot Wearer". So I guess now seems as good a time as any to share my collection of funny cowboy stuff.

Enjoy!

The Franklin Pig

This is the 'real' Franklin Pig... This little piggy has made me smile for years now.

I'm sure he... I mean she... I mean IT has had the same effect on hundreds of others who pass by as they drive down Bridge Street in Downtown Franklin.

In fact, I've become so accustomed to "checking out the pig" that I get a little upset when I find that they haven't changed the pig's attire in awhile.

I'm so intrigued by what the pig is wearing that I even stop to photograph the darned thing now!

Pig Blogging: This Little Piggy Goes To Weddings

The comical story behind This Little Piggy who resides in downtown Franklin, Tennessee can be found here.

Today, Mr. Pig (or would that be MS. Pig???) was garbed for a wedding:

A pig statue dressed for a wedding... complete with bridal veil and a bouquet of flowers!

A Visit To The Franklin, TN Post Office

U.S. Post Office in Franklin, Tennessee. On Saturday morning, I went to the local Post Office to buy a book of stamps. Who knew something so simple could turn into a 'story'?!

First, our Post Office, is a story in itself... see here.

But on this day, the guy behind the counter was someone who's been helpful to me in the past... especially after I returned the 2ND time during the whole "P.O. Box vs Actual Physical Address" fiasco! He always goes out of his way to be helpful. And I like him.

But on THIS morning, he didn't like me.

My Tribute To The Franklin Rodeo

| Comments (3)

Rodeo banners lining the streets of Downtown Franklin, Tennessee. This weekend marks the much-hyped Franklin Rodeo. It is said that hundreds of out-of-town cowboys have made their way to Franklin, Tennessee for this event.

I don't exactly get it.

I probably won't be attending.

But I am WAY into all the cool marketing for it!

Try this on for size...
