Nashville Fun Things To Do
Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) has created yet another Reality TV show. It's called Jingles and they're holding auditions in Nashville at the end of May.
Mark Burnett has reportedly combined elements of The Apprentice and Rock Star to create Jingles, a new CBS reality series that will see contestants concocting commercial ditties for real products ... Home viewer votes cast following each broadcast will then determine a weekly winner, whose jingle will be used in and actual commercial. Source

Jim and I have been to the Grand Ole Opry Show more times than I can count. And I'm not even that much of a fan of Country music. I like music in general, but very few CDs in my collection are of the Country genre. (Jim's collection is a whole 'nother story.) Sure, I like a lot of individual songs performed by various Country artists, but rarely enough to buy a whole CD of 'em.
That said, I also wasn't introduced to Bluegrass and Folk and other forms of music like that until I moved to Nashville with Jim 7 years ago.
So why in the world would I want to go to the Grand Ole Opry so much, you ask? And how do I justify spending upwards of $50 a ticket for the experience?
Here's the scoop...

They asked for some advice. Here's what we recommended...
With the recent loss of our arena football team (Nashville Kats), I thought I'd check in and see how our NFL, Minor League Baseball, and NHL teams are stacking up these days.
Here's how things are looking for Nashville's pro sports teams...

...Sounds like fun!
If Tenor were to be the judge, the Franklin Dog Park would rank #1, followed by the Brentwood /slash/ Bellevue /slash/ Nashville /slash/ Warner Dog Park as #2.
Actually, the Warner Dog Park is part of the Percy Warner Parks system which lies between Bellevue and Brentwood (and just a hop, skip, and a jump from Franklin), but it's technically in Nashville.
The Franklin Dog Park has its own claim to fame: it is Tennessee's first off-leash dog park!
