Nashville Is Kid-Friendly

The child advocacy group, America's Promise Alliance, has named Metro Nashville and Davidson County as one of the top spots for young people.

The chairwoman of America's Promise Alliance is Alma Powell, the wife of retired General Colin Powell.


America's Promise Alliance selected the 100 best communities from a list of 750 from all 50 states.

The three Tennessee cities that were named kid-friendly:

  • Bristol

  • Germantown

  • Nashville
