nashville-movies-in-the-parkUPDATED May, 2012:

While Franklin offers their own FREE movies by Moonlight series, FREE Concerts in the Park, and even FREE summer movies at Franklin Cinema,

I can strongly recommend the Nashville Movies in the Park which take place in Percy Warner Park.

The Movies in the Park have moved from Centennial Park in the West End area to Percy Warner Park at Old Hickory Boulevard and Highway 100.

It’s FUN… and it’s FREE!

This year’s Movies in the Park are shown every Wednesday in June.

Showtime is at sunset (generally between 7:30 and 8:00 PM) in the cross country field on Highway 100.

Be sure to get there early to secure your spot on the lawn, register for all the fun prizes, and visit the many sponsor booths and food trucks!

The movies are FREE and so is the parking!

The projector starts rolling at sunset, but the party starts at 4 p.m., with refreshments from the likes of Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Stonehouse Q, Kona Ice, the Grilled Cheeserie gourmet food truck and Moose Head kettle corn. Source

  • Wednesday, June 13 – Shrek
  • Wednesday, June 20 – TwilightL Breaking Dawn

Nashville Scene readers have voted Movies in the Park “Best Free Fun” for the past seven years!

Check out this virtual tour of Percy Warner Park. There’s so much to do within the park’s boundaries. The Movies In The Park are not “inside” the park, but rather on the outskirts.
