We almost bought a new house!
Actually, we almost bought TWO new houses (...within days of each other).
Yep, we're on "the hunt" again.
It seems like every couple of years we get the itch to explore our housing options here in Williamson County, Tennessee.
Don't get me wrong, we LOVE our house, and we LOVE our neighbors, and we LOVE the town of Franklin, and we LOVE Middle Tennessee in general... it's just that we're trying to be "smart" and enhance our odds of finding a good deal on a house with more land.
Well, I don't know what I was thinking...
Of course Franklin Tennesse has FREE movies in the park!
...and FREE concerts in the park!
...and even FREE movies at the theater!
Here's the scoop:
While I have yet to hear of anything like this in the Franklin area Franklin offers their own FREE movies by Moonlight series, FREE Concerts in the Park, and even FREE summer movies at Franklin Cinema, I can strongly recommend the Movies in the Park which take place each year in Nashville (in the West End area).
It's not quite ready for skateboarders yet... but it's close!
(This photo was taken at Nashville's Two Rivers Skate Park.)
Maybe it's because of all the rainy days that we've had lately (...not to mention all the tornadoes).
Maybe it's just how the construction process goes (...fast at first, followed by what seems like a snail's pace).
Maybe there's a lot of detail work that we can't see (...because there certainly are a lot of workers on site most of the time!)
Then again, maybe only real skateboarders can appreciate the true skill and hard work that goes into creating a Skate Park (... and therefore, only they can visualize what is just around the corner).
Then...
And now...![]()
Whatever the reason, I've been driving by the Franklin Skate Park for weeks now, yet I keep seeing the same pictures in the viewfinder of my camera.
This little piggy has made me smile for years now.
I'm sure he... I mean she... I mean IT has had the same effect on hundreds of others who pass by as they drive down Bridge Street in Downtown Franklin.
In fact, I've become so accustomed to "checking out the pig" that I get a little upset when I find that they haven't changed the pig's attire in awhile.
I'm so intrigued by what the pig is wearing that I even stop to photograph the darned thing now!
