Attention White Stripes fans… and Jon Stewart fans… and Daily Show fans (…could there even be a Daily Show fan without being a Jon Stewart fan?):
Tomorrow (December 1, 2005) The White Stripes will be performing “live” on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show! There has never been a live musical performance on The Daily Show before.
We managed to squeeze a lot of activity into a day-and-a-half in Indiana, and a day-and-a-half in Ohio… over the 2005 Thanksgiving holiday. Here’s how it went…
A funny little story about our visit to the Mississippi State University campus in Starkville, Mississippi. We loaded up the Jeep, and our dog, and drove from Nashville on the Natchez Trace Parkway.
This is the one and only photo that exists of me dancing.
How do I know? Because this is the one and only time in my LIFE that I let my “friends” talk me into dancing… in public.
Never did it before then.
Haven’t done it since.
Won’t be doing it EVER again.
I just can’t seem to get over the fact that I think most people look silly when they’re dancing. Me included.
Listen to Bud Light’s Real Men of Genius ”Mr. Really Really Really Bad Dancer””
Watch the video for Bud Light’s “Mr. Really Really Really Bad Dancer”:
Of course, there are plenty of people who were born to dance, and they manage to look pretty smooth doing it… but those, I think, are probably the minority.
Here are some funny videos of people dancing. Or, TRYING to dance anyway. Some are really good… Others are really bad…
Are they comedians? Are they musicians?… You be the judge.
In the spirit of introducing interesting (and VERY funny!) little-known singers to the masses, allow me to introduce you to a New Zealand duo called Flight of the Conchords.
These guys (Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie) probably don’t need my help one bit, because they’ve got quite a cult following, but since I’d never heard of them until today, I figure there still may be a FEW out there who might welcome the opportunity to check out a new group.
