Stacy Mitchhart was one of the first performers I saw when I came to Nashville.
He plays regularly at a bar in Nashville’s historic Printer’s Alley called Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar. Printer’s Alley is a legendary pass-thru on the streets of downtown Nashville.
Jim had seen Stacy Mitchhart several times before this. I’ve seen him a handful of times after this. In addition to his true bluesy style and rockin sound, we really like the fact that he’s got a horns section in his band.
It’s truly a great show every time!
Today, his group is known as the Stacy Mitchhart Band. Back then, they were known as Stacy Mitchhart and Blues U Can Use.
The band has been around since the ’90s under the name Stacy Mitchhart’s Blues You Can Use, but recently the name has been changed to simply, Stacy Mitchhart Band. After seeing the band live, it’s easy to see why. Source

We Got The Blues
By the end of the night of bar hopping Nashville, we got got the blues. We went to see Stacy Mitchhart and his group at a back-alley bar called the Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar. The best part: There’s not a bad seat in the house. We sat up on the balcony, directly over the band members. Add to that, a mirrored-wall behind the band, and you get the most awesome perspective! This band plays regularly here. They’re a little raunchy, a little rock ‘n rolly, and a whole lotta bluesy. Their motto: “A shot ‘o blues for yo’ ass!”
Stacy Mitchhart At The Franklin Jazz Fest
We had seen Stacy Mitchhart several times at the Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar in Nashville but this was the first time we’d seen him in Franklin, TN. Here, he and his band were performing at the Franklin Jazz Festival — an awesome outdoor concert with 4 different stages. (This was before they eventually started charging for the event and they moved it inside the Factory. Bummer…)
